Hi Kristi Andrus! :) I have two newsletters where I send my articles a few times per month but that’s not for promotion but rather for delivering content to the subscribers — promoting on social media can’t get you where internal views can (unless you have a huge following on a platform like Linkedin). I post on our website too (personalgrowthbase.com)

For me, the month lag makes sense because whether an article goes viral depends on the initial reading ratio & time of the readers that first come across the piece. The algorithm “tests” whether people like the piece by first displaying it to a few people and if those read the entire piece, engage with the article etc., it’s an indicator that the piece is worth distributing to more people — does that make sense? :)
