Hi Fred Gowy! :) Good point, it will surely be harder to let go if you feel somebody truly hurt you in some way. However, I believe forgiving is always the greatest choice. Easier said than done, I know. I lately read a book where it said “Forgiving is not about the other person but about you.” and I believe it’s totally true.

Even if somebody hurts us, the “most effective” thing to do is probably forgiving and letting go. By forgiving that person we actually release ourselves from holding on to the pain they caused. We don’t accept living in fear or spending our days being hurt, but instead, let go of the situation.
